Come join us as we celebrate 5 years serving North Iowa's women with special guest Rusty Boruff, founder and executive director of One Eighty in Davenport, Iowa. A night of celebration and learning how we can impact our community and North Iowa!
Rusty Boruff is the Founder and Executive Director of One Eighty, a faith based nonprofit organization in Davenport, IA. The vision for One Eighty was inspired by Rusty’s personal life experiences. These experiences included being a homeless drug addict, spending nearly a year in jail, and eventually finding himself unemployable. Through those experiences Rusty witnessed the love and support of great friends and family. However, he realized not everyone had that.He went on to start One Eighty, a multi-faceted non-profit organization which includes various enterprises and outreaches that impact thousands each month. These outreaches include school-based initiatives for kids, affordable housing, residential programs for people coming out of incarceration and addiction, job training programs and more.Rusty has been recognized for his efforts nationally- including Grammy Award winning singer, Matthew West, writing a song that was inspired by Rusty’s life. Rusty has been featured on TV, in books, and in articles including appearances on the 700 Club. He has been endorsed by musicians, numerous pro athletes such as former NFL player Jimmie Bell, and authors such as Cec Murphy, the author of 90 Minutes In Heaven and the Ben Carson Story- Gifted Hands.Rusty lives in the Quad Cities with his wife, Brook, and their 3 kids. He has authored 3 books including an Amazon Best Seller, Cell 121. As the Executive Director of One Eighty for the last 11 years, he continues to fight for the vulnerable and find creative solutions to some of the biggest issues our community is facing.
